PMIF-2014: Panel discussion “Innovations in Ocean development”

On October 1, 2014 the panel discussion on “Innovations in Ocean development: from the Technological Platform to cluster creation” initiated by Concern Morinformsystem-Agat JSC will be conducted within the framework of PMIF-2014 St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum.

More than 70 participants were invited to engage in the discussion. Amongst the participants are representatives of Federal Executive Authorities; leading shipbuilding enterprises, such as United Shipbuilding Corporation JSC, Concern Sea Underwater Weapons – Gidropribor JSC, Research and Production Firm Meridian JSС, Central Scientific Research Institute Kurs JSС, Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering Rubin, St. Petersburg Marine Design Bureau Malakhit JSC; research organizations, such as Far Eastern Federal University, Tomsk State University, Ural Federal University, Federal State Budgetary Institution “Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute”, as well as our strategic partners Research and Production Enterprise Radar mms JSC, Alekseyev Central Hydrofoil Design Bureau JSC, etc.

The panel discussion will be devoted to the activity analysis and the review of intermediate results on implementation of initiatives within the framework of Ocean Development interindustry technological platform approved by the decision of the Government Commission on Advanced Technology and Innovation in 2011. The discussion will also include the following topics: prospects and issues of integration of robotics development projects and technologies on facilities of industrial enterprises, specifics of implementation of some innovation projects in the Arctic and subarctic areas, as well as Concern’s prospects and plans regarding the creation of a regional cluster for marine robotics in the Far East. As one of the project coordinators, the Concern will release a regular issue of the company magazine - Maritime Information and Control Systems magazine -devoted to such topical issues as automation and robotization in the course of World ocean development. The panel discussion will take place on October 1, 2014 from 12:00 to 13:30 in the congress hall 7.3 (pavilion No. 7) of Lenexpo. All interested, as well as media personnel are welcome to attend the event.
