The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2015) was initially held from the 3rd through the 5th of September 2015 in Vladivostok. Its key objective is to encourage Russian and foreign investors, industrialists, businessmen, scientific and creative specialists, social activists to address the challenges and prospects for the further development of the Far-East region.
Concern Morinformsystem-Agat JSC took part in EEF-2015 and provided its premises – the Far Eastern Centre of Competence on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) – to the forum organizer, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, in order to make several presentations.
One of the key strategic sessions of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, namely “Shipbuilding. Where will we build our ships?”, was conducted in the Concern Far Eastern Centre of Competence. It was attended by Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Yuriy Borisov, Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Viktor Chirkov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Georgy Kalamanov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Viktor Olersky, Director of Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Facilities Department of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Maxim Kochetkov, representatives of the Federal Agency for Fishery, Sovcomflot JSC, Rosneft JSC, United Shipbuilding Company JSC, as well as other leading Russian and foreign companies.
The issues discussed during the session include further projects and orders for far eastern shipbuilding enterprises and opportunities to improve the regional transport infrastructure using high-speed water transport in inland and coastal waterways. Georgy Antsev, General Director - Chief Designer of Concern Morinformsystem-Agat JSC, also gave a speech. He compared the Russian Far East and coastal areas of Southeast Asia noting that “despite the initial subsidies, inland and coastal high-speed waterway transport in many countries of Southeast Asia have already increased profit margins”.
General Director - Chief Designer of the Concern Georgy Antsev participated in the planar session, during which Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a speech to participants of EEF-2015.
At the session “State-of-the art industrial production” organized by Sollers JSC Georgy Antsev told about innovative areas of the Concern’s efforts in the Far East and emphasized the role that the enterprise plays in initiatives related to Inter-Industry Technology Platform “Ocean Development” to establish the cluster of maritime engineering and underwater robotics in the region.
The Concern Far Eastern Centre of Competence was visited by representatives of many foreign and Russian delegations, top-ranking and distinguished guests. State-of-the-art projects of Concern enterprises demonstrated to them reveal the concept of focus areas of the present integrated structure of Concern Morinformsystem-Agat JSC in the Far East.
