IMS Integrated Bridge System for Surface Ships and Vessels

IMS Integrated Bridge System For Surface Ships and Vessels ensures automated control of a ship (vessel), navigational safety improvement and requires less crew members in operating and reduced number of electronic equipment on the navigational bridge.

IMS performs the following tasks:

  • „navigation, safe ship navigation control and manoeuvring of a ship by virtue of automated and semi-automated control of ship movement and position;
  • trial manoeuvring as well as generation of ship movement trajectory during manoeuvring with check of probability of near collision with other ships or vessels and nautical dangers;
  • automatic signal of warning in case of danger;
  • integration of data on navigation, surface surveillance and ship movement parameters received from all data sources and integrated ship systems (GPS/GLONASS, ship log, echo-sounder, gyro- and magnetic compasses, meteorological sensors etc.);
  • further identification and display of the mentioned data on multifunctional screens;
  • control of all-type shipborne communication means (internal and external) for the purpose of efficient utilization;
  • control of all-type shipborne communication means (internal and external) for the purpose of efficient utilization;
  • integrated control and monitoring of auxilliary systems of a ship (navigation lights, interior lighting, transmission of liquids, video monitoring, emergency warning system etc.);
  • provision of information on ship damage control, instruction of a crew on ship status, ship’s life-support systems as well as prediction of further situation.
